Yes, Reverend Lois is on the move again! I just got so lonesome for the big beautiful Gulf of Mexico I had to come home. I will be greeting old friends and new in Sarasota Florida around the 15th of November 2011! It is about time! I am now a certified Clinical Hypnotist to help you in your desire for even greater change. You can always reach me at the old cell phone number (928)300-2030. Be with you soon.
HOW NEW WILL YOUR NEW YEAR BE?
As we prepare to birth yet another new year, our thoughts may be on the year now past. Perhaps we feel many things could have been better. We see loss in various human arenas…finance, institutions, relationships, and more. We may have regrets over some of our personal actions or inactions, those things we did or failed to do. We may feel abused, even victimized, by the actions of others.
We need to ask ourselves if we want a rehash of 2010 or if we are willing to make the effort to create situations and events in and around us that are truly new. If we want our personal new year to be different than this past year, we must begin to think, act and feel differently about ourselves and our experiences.
At this special time of new beginnings I offer some ideas to bring you confidence that 2011 will be completely and pleasingly new! First, forget the so called “failures” of the twelve months past. Those losses along with the days that produced them are over. Whip out a sheet of paper and begin to write everything you ever did that was a “win”.
Call your list RIGHT ACTIONS. Documenting your “wins” as a list will be the first step toward your intended new journey. It will imbue you with the knowledge and deep seated belief that you are a successful Spirit filled human.
On your “Right Actions” list write every successful, generous, loving thing you have ever done. For instance, “providing extra food for others to brighten their holidays made me feel good,” Or “I decided to finish the college course which led to my being accepted as a …” Or perhaps, “buying that first little house set me on a good road to identifying winning investments.” Or, “I made a special effort to make my mother comfortable in our final weeks together.”
Whatever you did at any time that brought you a good feeling about yourself, your motives and your abilities write it on your list! The act of writing anything gives it special enlivening energy.
The reason for this exercise is not to encourage living in the past but rather to take you back there long enough to remember those special positive power filled times of yesterday. By reacquainting yourself with your successes of the past you are simply reminding yourself that the power you used then is the power you can elect to use now and in the future.
What name do you give your power? What channel are you tuned to? What is your motivator? Do you think of it as the energy of intuition, Spirit, God, I Am that I Am, High Self, Light or Love? Whatever name you give to it that power is forever yours to use in any way you can think, dream or imagine.
By making the “Right Actions” list you will begin to remember many successful ventures for which you may not have given yourself credit. The point of creating the list is for you to visualize and magnify a winning, successful image of you. When you see yourself as a creative winner you will access even more wonderful productive ideas. You will have more success with anything you do.
Did you know that your powerful subconscious will always carry out your orders? Every repetitious thought and emotion you feed to it will be saved, worked with and brought to manifestation. It is a 24-hour-a-day worker. It never becomes tired and it never grows old.
Even more than manifesting your power filled ideas, your subconscious keeps a bank of pure “information” that you did not empower. Ask it for some solutions and ideas and it will do the research. Or ask its associate your personal dream maker for answers. You have truly unlimited resources waiting your call.
When you access your own “feel good” emotion you have accessed your personally powerful fuel and igniter fluid for constructive manifestation. You can focus that energy to build the life you have dreamed of. You have always known what you desire and now you have the way to ignite those desires.
By your concentration on your personal successes you are throwing out all your preconceived limits. When you throw out limiting ideas and concepts you are free to engage fully with your personal light filled future.
It is no secret that most of us can tell you what didn’t work in our lives or what isn’t working. Why fritter away our dynamic energy resources on such a wasteful pastime? Let us speak instead of how much we love today and invest our energy here. Let us speak of the bright future that stretches out in front of us. Make our words work for us rather than against us.
Creating a new “new year” for ourselves does not happen by chance. It takes a desire on the part of each one of us to let go of the actions and ideas that did not work and focus on the ones that did!
A particularly good idea at this time of year is to clean house in any way you can. In other words, if you have not used a particular item in the last 12 months, get rid of it. Give it away to someone who could use it. Recycle it! If you are falling over unused possessions and storing some under your bed it is time to make some decisions about where you are using your energy. Everything you own literally owns you.
The other part of house cleaning is a little different. When a particular personal habit is a stumbling block, it not only has to be removed but it has to be replaced! It is good to remember that anytime you create a vacuum by removing an idea or emotion, you need to replace it with something more positive. Otherwise that hole that is left in your life experience will be filled with the “first available”, in other words, the luck of the draw.
Keep adding to your right actions success list whenever you remember one of your personal winning accomplishments. Adding to your list will build your confidence. It will impress upon you that you are worthwhile and capable of great deeds. Each one of you has special talents and enormous creativity. Believing in yourself will reveal more of your abilities.
Through this list making exercise you will find other new and sometimes startling inventive ideas floating to the surface. Do not ignore your new ideas. Keep a second list of POSSIBILITIES.
Allow the ideas to approach you exactly as they are without placing immediate judgment on them. In other words, just because a particular idea seems beyond your abilities at the moment, too much like “pie in the sky” write it down anyway. Remember that tomorrow everything can change. What seems impossible today may be exactly the action that will work for you next week.
Do not throw away any of your inspired thoughts. WHEN IN DOUBT…WRITE IT DOWN!
Be aware that some of your best most workable ideas may come to you in dreamtime. Write them down the very minute you wake. Even if you cannot understand the metaphor or unusual language of a dream, write it down. Do not let any of these special inspirations escape into forgetfulness.
Pay attention to your colorful daydreams as well. Daydreams can carry wonderful inspirations that are worthy of your notice. Daydreaming is a way of trying out ideas and seeing the probable results. Let no idea wither for lack of your investigation.
The importance of written lists is that we are able to see things in a more concrete form. When ideas are standing side by side on paper we can evaluate much more directly. Clarity of thought is more likely.
Make this new year of yours shine with the ultimate in newness. Make it your best new year yet.
I would like to repeat an excerpt from an e-mail I received from the “Intenders” group:
“You are called, now, to give birth to a new way of life for yourself and for all those who walk this world with you. You stand poised at the threshold of great expansion in your perceptions, your possibilities, and your consciousness.
Now is not the time to settle for less or to think small. You are here to rise up and out of the prevailing paradigm of beliefs by shining your light and sharing your joy.
May all who seek comfort enjoy it. May all who want abundance experience it. May all who intend peace create it. May all who give love receive it. And may all who shine light live in it.”
My love and blessings to all of you for a magnificent new year, Reverend Lois Cheney.
Today I am giving you a very special gift. I am printing for you the personal permission slip you were given when you entered this lifetime. It says: “In this moment and now and forever you are granted the unending right to be and express that very special, unique, unusual individual you were born to be.” Now I must ask you: Are you willing to use that right?
Just as no two snowflakes are alike, you are not like any other person on this earth or possibly any other life form in the cosmos. It is your own individuality that is your gift. You are special and important. I applaud all your differences.
Somewhere deep inside you lives a power filled urging to carve your own path, to pull away from whatever anyone else thinks you should or ought to do. Your soul pushes you to express your uniqueness, to take chances by acting on your wildest ideas.
Oh, yes, you may have goals and objectives that are similar to the ideas of others, but your way of accomplishment will never be the same. Your methods will not be identical to those of anyone else. You were born to shine in your own way. None of you are clones.
Why is this so important? Because by acknowledging your unique desires and abilities you are shedding the inhibiting guidelines you have absorbed or inherited from family, friends or coworkers. This letting go of past instructions will allow you to finally fully actuate the life that your soul intended from your birth. By projecting the truth of who you are into your life, you may lose a friend or two but I promise you will attract others who see and appreciate the light and love that you are.
Going along with mass thought, following the majority or the crowd will not make you happy. It is not only O.K. to use the road less traveled, the belief system less used, it is necessary. Each of you must carve your own path by following the urging of your heart. When you feel joy pour over you like a warm shower you are pursuing exactly what you need to do regardless of anyone else’s opinion or reaction.
Because you are individual, one of a kind, there is no single plan, no one way for gaining those experiences and that education for which you came to earth, for which you incarnated to be here at this particular time in the planet’s evolution. “One size” does not now and never will “fit all”.
Do you have day dreams or night visions that tug at your heart, dreams that beg you to follow them? Do not let them get away for lack of your attention. Write down your desires. Maybe you feel they are impossible or impractical but do not let them get away.
If your dreams are important enough to stir your soul, imagination and emotion, they are important enough to keep. Those dreams can be Spirit’s way of giving you directions, allowing you to attain resonance with your soul. What does not work today may well work tomorrow. Just acknowledging the desires of your heart can magnetize your personal energy to draw others to help you. Writing those heartfelt desires in a journal brings them energy and life.
As a psychic, I offer Dream Work as well as Intuitive
Development classes from time to time. I design all of those classes to be as much fun and games as possible simply because people seem to learn much faster in that kind of format. Why study dreams? Why push toward intuitive development? Because if you become more aware of the inner essence or truth of what is happening within you and around you, you can make more life affirming choices.
I believe too many of us go through life holding back our words and thoughts for fear of offending someone with our beliefs or saying something too “far out.” Much to my daughter’s embarrassment, I have a habit of striking up a conversation about anything most anywhere. One night when we were entertaining I asked our guests “Have any of you ever seen a U.F.O.?” I could almost feel my daughter sink into the carpet. But that question started a very lively and interesting conversation.
Let me tell you about my trip to Walmart the other day. This story has nothing to do with guides, angels and masters or even the meaning of life but here it is anyway. I had just walked in the back door of Walmart when I noticed this little curly haired older lady with an empty shopping cart. She was leaning just a bit on a small cane. Without meaning to I began to laugh so hard I nearly turned inside out.
Naturally she turned to look at me. I touched her lightly on one shoulder and said “I just can’t help it. I got the funniest idea in my mind that I was going to grab your cart and run down the aisle with you chasing me. I would never do such a thing and I can’t imagine why I even thought it! I must be tired to get so silly.” By that time we were both laughing till people began to stare. She said, “Worse than that, I wouldn’t have been able to catch you!”
I like to think that both of us felt a little lighter after all that fun. I smile every time I think about it. We tend to take everything in life so seriously that once in a while we just need a little comic relief.
To some degree all of us are the product of those “rights and wrongs” we learned in childhood. Our parents with their beliefs and understanding did the best they could to guide us but as adults we need to look carefully at those early rules and judgments that may no longer serve us. We need to acknowledge something as basic as it is alright to talk to strangers.
In still another realm of influence we may be tempted to “fall in line” with our friends or co-workers ideas of what is right for us when what we really need is to learn to listen to our soul’s directions.
To illustrate our tendency to do the so called right or expected thing, let me tell you about my cat Festus. I had just moved with my adopted alley cat, Festus, to a new home in Austin, Texas. I was worried that he would become disoriented in the neighborhood so I bought a little harness and attached him with a chain on the patio under the shade of the roof. I intended to keep him tied for maybe three days until he could understand that this was his new home.
All went well for a couple of days. I kept him fed, watered and shaded. Then on day number three I came out to pet him and there was no Festus, just a harness and a chain. I immediately started searching the neighborhood and spotted him a few blocks down the street. When I called to him he ran the opposite direction. I thought that was the end of that.
However, when I got back to the house there he was, sitting right beside his harness and chain pretending he was still attached. How smart are animals? I have to wonder though if his behavior wasn’t akin to something we do. We break away from some of the old learned behaviors that no longer fit and then, out of comfort or familiarity, we go right back.
Perhaps unconsciously, we feel the need to conform to the patterns that our family or friends have created for us. Most folks have a tendency to resist change. Those people we are close to may be more content with their perceptions of us if we are willing to be predictable. They may be happier if what they have decided to be true about us remains static. In many cases, they prefer it if we will stay in the little identity box they have created for us.
Is it any wonder that we tend to have communication challenges with our relationships when we understand things so differently? Working with your own intuition, sharpening your inner awareness can be a communication tool and blessing. Strengthened intuition absolutely will improve your understanding of others in your life, but equally important, it will help you to understand your own actions and motivations.
I am reminded of one of the Carlos Castaneda books. In it his mentor and teacher, Don Juan, tells Carlos, “You must lose your personal history.” Carlos says he can’t do that. He has earned this degree, he has had this experience. But Don Juan insists, telling him he has to be who he is today, this minute.
I believe that is what each of us must do. Yes, our past has brought us to this day, our current level of understanding, but we cannot live from or in the past. We need to be the new “this minute” us, this “now” us with all our new ideas, understanding and concepts. It is definitely o.k. to be different! It is right that you and only you should select your current path and ideas.
Embrace change. Welcome it in your life. It is only through change that you can move forward. Look at your own life from a different point of view. Ask yourself questions! Who or what is center stage in your life today? Is there reciprocity in this situation or are you bleeding away all your energy. Does this activity or relationship fill you with joy or emptiness?
Sometimes that which was on center stage in your life needs to be loved from a distance or moved to the curb!
Each of you has a soul that is always prompting you to move forward, to accomplish. It urges you from your heart to be as much as you can be, to use your special gifts and talents.
Listen to that warm, urging heart emotion. If you are able to perceive that heart and soul wisdom with greater understanding and give it your full attention, you will find the way to access a more fulfilling joy and flow in your life.
How can you know if you are on your LIFE PATH? I have the question so many times in my work as a counselor. Fortunately, you have been given the measuring stick or tool to use for just such a question. When the path your are on, the work you are doing is so much a part of you that minutes and hours spent in that endeavor mean nothing, you have found it. When you never bother to look at a clock because you are doing what you love, you are on your path. When your heart sings and your spirit soars, you have found IT!
Being your authentic self, finding your way to your special destination may not happen in an instant. No matter how long it takes, your dedication to the journey will be an inspiration to others. Each step along the way is a learning experience.
Develop the gifts and the talents that you have. Work with those occupations or goals that draw you in and will not let you go. No one person can decide for you what your life is about. Not your closest friend, not your parents, not your spouse can ever know the intimate details of what makes you special.
Be proud of your individuality and make the best use of it. You are important to this earth and all of her inhabitants. No one can make the contribution you came here to make. Believe in yourself and step forward with confidence.
I am always ready to help you with any of your life challenges and questions. Call today for your private counseling appointment. I welcome you to my Sarasota, Florida studio or to a telephone session. In either case I will give you a cassette tape of your reading for your later review. Be sure to ask about chakra clearings with sound, color and crystals and private intuitive development lessons.

Let me be straight forward about this subject: I believe in dreams, I believe in dream interpretation, I am enormously thankful for my dreams, but sometimes…
Lately I have had numerous requests to teach my dream workshop in various locations, various cities. Because I want to do my very best for these presentations my mind has been focused on continually improving what I offer.
The result of that intention to be at the “top of my game” manifested many, many restless nights when I felt it necessary to wake up and record yet another dream…just in case!
Those of you who have kept a dream journal for any length of time know how I felt. Dream work becomes a bit of a compulsion if you allow it. That is why I always tell my students that following their dreams needs to be a joy not a job.
With all that dreaming and writing, many are the mornings I would start my day feeling as if I had been trenching through a war zone. I finally decided I needed better continuous sleep. After all I did have my counseling and other matters requiring my attention.
I found a solution! I simply had a serious talk with my dream-maker. “If you only wake me when a dream involves new ways of service, one that uses me and my own storehouse of unconditional love and light, I promise to write down all the details.”
Thank goodness that worked. I had to repeat that talk a couple of nights in a row just to make the impression, indicate my seriousness, but yes it worked. “Wake up, wake up” dreams kept coming but not by the bushel basketful.
Perhaps I just needed to convince myself that my workshops did not have to be “perfect”. No, I haven’t stopped dreaming, but I do get a lot more sleep. Bless my subconscious mind! It does take direction well. Plus it never sleeps because “she” never needs it!
I am wishing all of you the happiest and most productive of dreams even if some of them come to you as nightmares just to get your attention.
If I may help you with dream interpretation or any Spirit channeled information, call today for your private appointment. I am always happy to help you with a reading or a complete chakra clearing utilizing sound, color and crystals.

It is a valuable gift. You receive it every night as you sleep. No exact monetary value can be placed on it. Yet without this gift your mental and emotional stability would suffer. In fact, scientifically we are told that we need our sleeping dreams to recharge and rebalance.
In fact the average person spends one third of their lives sleeping and dreaming. If he or she lives to the age of 75 that is 25 years asleep but subconsciously awake in the world of dreams. Would any of us really want to waste that many years through our own inattention to the information that is offered there?
Since the sights, sounds and emotions that are offered to us as we sleep are a highly valuable commodity, why do we give them so little of our time and notice?
In other civilizations and societies such as those of the Romans, the Greeks and various American Indian tribes, dreams were honored. Great attention was given to their interpretation. Those who could interpret dreams were honored. Dreams and the messages offered by spirit visitations were recorded in journals for future reference. Nothing was thrown away or disregarded.
Those of you who are familiar with biblical passages will recall numerous instances when dreams were credited with imparting life saving information. Consider the dream that came to Mary and Joseph that caused them to flee with the baby Jesus. Without their attention to that dream would Christianity have come into being?
I will acknowledge that many of the dreams we experience are not the simplest to interpret. They come in metaphors and symbols that seem at first glance far removed from our daily lives. Why take the extra time and effort to make sense of them?
Once you or I are able to open the knowledge of those mystical scenarios we are likely to find wisdom that goes far in smoothing our life paths. Why? Because our personal dream maker has access to information on many levels and many locations that would otherwise escape us.
Some of you may already be doing remote viewing or astral travel as you sleep. You may not be aware of it but still it is a fairly common occurrence.
If you have an interest in something that is quite a distance from home, it is quite possible to send yourself as astral energy to that location. For instance, if there is a friend or relative across the country who is experiencing illness or other difficulty, you might “check in” with your astral body.
Do you realize that before you fall asleep you can request answers from your night dreams to questions on any subject? Not only can you request that service, you can invite healing energies to present their vibrations and suggestions to you as you sleep and dream for your health of mind, body or emotions.
In my workshops when I teach the value and use of “dreamtime” I always suggest that it is important to impress your dream maker with the fact that you are interested, that you will see and listen to those night time presentations. Emphatically announcing your intention to record and interpret your dreams and doing so will bring more vivid, detailed memory and understanding of their content.
If you already value your waking intuitive abilities consider using your night time ones as well. In depth observations concerning your life, your challenges, your talents are waiting to help and advise you in any way that you are willing to accept.
Each one of you has been born with the deep heartfelt desire to fully actuate your chosen life path. I can help with my 4-part personalized private intuitive development course.
I will gladly answer questions regarding the course or schedule a private counseling session in my Sarasota Florida studio or over the telephone. To schedule an appointment call Reverend Lois Cheney (941)961-2783 or E-mail RevLois@gmail.com.
