One of my favorite stories that I heard a long time ago: A husband is watching his wife preparing to put a beef roast in the oven for the family’s Sunday dinner. She cuts a piece off the small end of the roast, throws that piece in the garbage and puts the roast in the pan and into the oven.

Her husband says, “Honey, why did you throw the end of the roast away?” She thinks for a minute and says, “Well, that’s what mother always did.”

But now his wife starts to wonder. She picks up the phone and dials mother. “Mother when

you fixed a beef roast for Sunday dinner, you always cut the small end off and threw that part away. Why did you do that?” There is silence as Mother thinks for a second or two and then she says, “Oh, I guess because my mother always did it that way.”

This is getting a bit strange so now his wife calls grandma. “Grandma can you tell me something please.” “Of course, what is it honey?” “Mother said that when you fixed a beef roast for Sunday dinner, you always cut part of the small end off and threw that piece away before you put the rest in the pan. Why did you do that?”

Now Grandma is laughing so hard she can hardly speak. When she finally catches her breath she says: “I cut the small end of the roast off and threw it away because I had a very little pan.”

Every once in a while when you catch yourself in a repetitive action or a repeated thought, in an habitual way or method of performing daily or weekly chores or simply making assumptions about what is the “right” way, perhaps it is a good idea to ask yourself that one big important question: “Why?” You may discover that what used to make sense yesterday or last year or when you were a child, may not make any sense now in your grownup world.

How are you doing? How is your life moving? Are you flowing along with each new now moment, moving joyously, freely into your future, making whatever changes seem called for? Or could it be that you are stuck just a little bit, held back by the tentacles of the past, some ideas that have out grown their usefulness?

Life is meant to be an adventure. We are all lifelong explorers. We always have the choice and the ability to make each successive moment brand new or a well worn repeat of the last one.

When I was growing up I lived with my mother and grandmother. Mother worked a five day week, while my grandmother took care of the household chores. One morning when I was a teenager, my grandmother was complaining loudly about how much clothes washing she had to do for the family every Monday morning. It was a valid complaint especially since she was using an old fashioned wringer washer and two rinse tubs.

Feeling that I knew how to fix any problem I just suggested she wash clothes more than once a week, maybe on Wednesday as well as every Monday.  That rather flippantly offered solution from the teenage me did not set well. Her response?  A very terse,“I will think about that at the first of next month.” Which, of course, she never did.

You have to understand that I loved my Grandmother but I tell the story because I think that is the same sort of tensely fixed attitude all of us hold from time to time. We do not like to have to change our habitual behavior, our accustomed patterns, even when such a change might be beneficial. Somehow we feel it just isn’t worth the effort. We don’t want to bother with setting a different course, thinking a new thought.

My mother on the other hand was concerned about keeping her mind and imagination active. One of her methods to obtain the flexibility she desired was to find and use as many different driving routes to work as she could. She would be the first to tell you that she was “just a secretary” from the time she was 16 years old. Yet after her retirement from the business world, she was instrumental in creating the very first library for a small town in central Florida.

Far exceeding any of her past work experience she organized fund raisers for the land and the building. She wrote a grant and received approval for still more funding. Library science was all new to her but through studying and much preparation she became that small town library’s first head librarian after her 70th birthday.

I know each one of you can do anything you can imagine or believe. Do not let your life become boring or humdrum. Your life is much too valuable to allow it to drift from one day to the next. Take your dreams down off the shelf. Those exciting dreams were not meant to gather dust. Acknowledge the fact that you and I came into this incarnation to seek, to learn and to create.

In order to fulfill the mission of our life we need to embrace as much flexibility as we can. Because each one of us is full of our own unique creativity, nothing should be off limits as far as investigating, examining and understanding.

Those of us who are adults and still studying instructional courses on any subject have the right idea. It is also equally valid to look for additional information and wisdom through various kinds of meditation which offer access to our personal guides, teachers and masters plus our own intuitive skills.

Any educational pursuit that provides a step up to learning and understanding yourself and your world is important and valuable. Begin today to keep a journal of your precious ideas, record your dreams and their imbedded messages. Writing gives even more energy to your desires. Be proactive!

The more we allow our thirst for knowledge to take hold of us, the more benefit we can be to our world and each other. It is when we become satisfied with keeping the status quo that stagnation sets in. We begin the move backward allowing that downhill slide. Decide right now to release any ideas of your past lack or failure so that the positive future can arrive clean and vibrant.

Keep your desires, your heart filled dreams alive. Just because you are this age or that, just because you do not think you have the right education, push forward anyway. It is never too late or too soon to begin living you dream. Start now. Pursue it with all your energy. Tweak it, adjust it for today and then love it, believe in it. That dream should be nurtured like your own beloved child.

The more you work toward your goal, the more help you will attract. People will come forward with suggestions, financial support, creative solutions. Merely taking one small step at a time every day will light up your path, move you in the direction of more and more success. Action always magnetizes help and ideas.

Working at any activity that comes from your heart will propel you into a state of nearly continuous joy. Yes, there will be challenges, problems, an occasional set back, but when you love what you are working toward, when your goal excites you, joy will activate every part of your life.

Joy is an amazing tonic. Without any warning your physical health will be greater than ever. Your intuition becomes clear as a bell. Your life will be filled with sincere friends. When you live in a state of continuing joy everything begins to flow and glow with love and light.

All the success that will rush to meet you is because you have been brave enough to fully actuate your life by developing your special inborn talents and gifts. With a loving heart you have offered your creations to the world. I believe in you. I know you were born with tremendous ability and power.

Once you decide to trust your instincts and move forward on your inner guidance, all the energy in heaven and earth will be there to support you.

It would be my joy to help you with your own intuitive development.  I offer individual, private lessons, a series of four one hour-sessions over a period of four weeks. The lessons are created specifically for your desired accomplishments. The results you experience can be quite phenomenal!

LOVE….LOVE….LOVE.

What do you feel or imagine when you hear the word love? What does it say to you when you read “Love”? Does it bring a particular picture to your mind? Does it fire up your heart?

Does the word itself set you on a journey of imagination remembering a particular person, a special place or experience from your past? Is there a warm and happy glow or is the feeling tinged with sadness?

Perhaps you agree with the poet “It is better to have loved and lost than not to have loved at all.”

Our experiences with being loved and loving are as varied and individual as we are; however, certain easily recognized results occur when true love is present. In fact those specific results seem to be common to all of us as humans when we are giving and receiving love.

When we live in love’s vibration, resonating to the giving and receiving of love, HARMONY graces our interactions with others, our PHYSICAL HEALTH improves, our MENTAL OUTLOOK takes on a sunny optimistic quality and our CREATIVITY SOARS!

Considering such effects we can agree that having and giving love is a positive thing. So why don’t we simply create more of it in our lives? Perhaps the one real difficulty with experiencing more love and bringing additional love into our lives begins when we look for love in the wrong place, expecting it from the wrong source.

We seem to think that someone else should be responsible for bringing that love to us. Apparently we forget that all of the capability for love and loving was placed in us as our birthright. We are absolutely made of love.

All we really need to do is begin with loving and accepting ourselves. Those actions on our part will cause us to become a virtual LOVE ENERGY MAGNET!

When we live the love we truly are by accepting and loving ourselves just as we are, and accepting and loving others as they are, we become irresistible to even more love!

We have been told for our spiritual development, to rise higher, we need to love others “unconditionally”. The unfortunate truth is we stumble at loving ourselves unconditionally, not to mention the problems we encounter when we try to love others without reservations or judgments. Yes, we find loving unconditionally to be quite difficult if not absolutely impossible.

As humans we seem to be stuck in a constant state of judging our own behavior and the behavior of others. That judging tells us that many of us, and many of those around us, are doing and saying things that we find completely unlovable and perhaps unforgiveable.

Perhaps it would help if we were to do a little redefining of this “unconditional love”. What if instead of calling it unconditional love, we name it the “ultimate respect for the divine spark” that is at the heart and soul of each one of us? Loving unconditionally will flow in a natural way if we are able to acknowledge the divinity of each person as a unique creation and give his or her divine origin our respect.

To become the shining essence of love we were meant to be, to radiate that love continuously, we must also practice forgiveness. When we react to someone else’s words or actions by being emotionally hurt or by striking out at them, we must try to remember that the attitude they are presenting to us comes from within them and not us. Forgiving them, forgiving ourselves for our own reactions is healing.

Offering the gift of unconditional love in all situations makes more sense when we are willing to realize that any person always does the one thing which at the time they believe will make things better, or set things right.

Yes, it can be that they did not understand all the facts. They may have acted far too quickly without realizing the hurt that could result. Perhaps they were so desperately trying to find any solution that they simply acted on a misguided impulse. Nonetheless we can be sure that the person only took the action they felt would put things in order in their own little world.

It is not only important to love others, it is supremely important to love and respect ourselves, to forgive ourselves. When we judge ourselves, when we call ourselves “slow” or “thoughtless” or even “mean”, we hurt and impede the physical, mental and emotional flow of our bodies. Believe me when I tell you that your body hears your every word, thought and emotion.

Be kind to yourself. Be assured that the results of any repeated self condemnation will appear. It may start as a little headache, a tightness in the neck, or an uneasy feeling in the stomach but it can grow to be much worse.

Failing to forgive ourselves, failing to forgive others, keeps us stuck in the past. It can be just five minutes past or five years past or five lifetimes past, but we need, in fact, we must, forgive and let go for the sake of our personal health and spiritual progress.

The good news is as we let go of past errors or hurts, we retrieve our energy. We bring it out of the past and into the now where we can make beautiful advances on our life path, wonderful changes. Our inner vision clears. We are no longer fragmented. Once again we are whole!

Living in the present moment, we are stronger: our ideas are more vibrant, more creative. We are able to use all of our capabilities, all of our talents. With each passing day our energies become brighter and lighter as we choose and elect to live in the high vibration of unconditional love.

To step out of judgment, to find deep joy and peace, to progress to living a higher spiritual life, we must embrace love. However, to live in a continual state of love and light requires a daily practice of forgiveness. In a perfect world, we would never take offense at our own actions or the actions of others, but as long as we continue to take things personally, we must become experts in the art of forgiveness.

To forgive is to acknowledge that each one of us is simply a work in progress. We experiment with this method and that always striving for our personal idea of perfection. And, yes, sometimes our outcomes fall far short of the intended goal! Yet it becomes easier to forgive the seemingly unforgivable if we are willing to understand that no two life paths are the same, that no two people are learning their life lessons in the same way and that OUR WAY is definitely not the ONLY WAY.

Unconditional love is a universal antidote for so many of the ills and imbalances that we experience in our lives and in our world. When we come to the realization that it isn’t our job to change anyone but ourselves, and we are willing to allow others to be exactly as they are, we will enjoy a deep inner tranquility.

Living a life of unconditional love is productive, rewarding and yet oh so very peaceful.

I am always ready to offer you Spirit channeled help with any of your life questions and challenges. All appointments are completely confidential and are cassette recorded to take with you to review at your leisure.

IS YOUR LOVE ON HOLD?

I have been taking inventory again! No, not an inventory of the clothes in my overstuffed closet or my packs of Doreen Virtue’s angel cards or my well stocked refrigerator and pantry of quick meals. The inventory involves something much more important.

I believe that in theory all of us would agree that a huge part of our job here on earth is to express the love that we are. We probably would also agree that in order to express that love we, as humans, need to be able to continually forgive the large and small “offenses” committed by ourselves and others. However, it seems that what we believe to be correct and what we do, what action we take, often times are quite different.

In our humanness it seems much easier to judge and keep score. So here is where my personal inventory comes to the surface. I had a dream last night where I was (for the umpteenth dream time) taking the wrong turn back home in Illinois where I was born.  That irritating dream has been mine for too many years.

Suddenly I got it! I knew exactly what that repetitive dream was about. The challenge was what to do about a grudge I had been “enjoying” for years. I had to take action. We all know that those miserable thoughts can lodge in our physical bodies and cause all sorts of discomfort not to mention disease. In this case love and forgiveness were both called for but how???

When you or I ask our guides, high self or angels we always get an answer! I asked. I listened. All I needed to begin the process of releasing my hurt and anger was so simple. My main guide, Red Feather, pointed out what I already knew but had not implemented.

I did know how to approach the situation but I had ignored it way too long. So I began seeing the troublesome man, who was the center of my misery, as an innocent infant, the way he came into this world. I rescued an old photo I had saved showing him as a child of around two years of age. I realized that then, as now, he was just trying to take the actions that would make him feel warm, comfortable, cared for, and yes, important. It no longer mattered what I thought was the “right” thing. He did then and continues to do today exactly what seems to him to be the best, the most successful for him.

With this simple approach I finally had accessed my soul wisdom. I promised myself from this day forward whenever I thought of his past interactions with me I would let him be “young and seeking”. I know he is looking to love and be loved. Never again would I engage in blaming him for what he obviously believed was his own right action.

My heart and body felt so much lighter. The long standing hurt was gone. Was this finally the end of all my judgments? I wish I could say so but I know the “grudge inventory” of my life will be an ongoing process for awhile. At least I admit to my imperfections and hopefully get some forgiveness momentum going from my heart for my negative and very earthly thoughts.

I remind you and myself that we need to continually forgive not only the other people and situations we encounter but we need to forgive ourselves.

We will keep making what we see as “mistakes” and need to see those seeming errors in judgment as the learning lessons which they are. Those mistakes can sometimes turn out to be our greatest blessings if we can acknowledge and use the gifts they offer us.

BLESS ALL OF US WHO ARE WALKING THIS PATH OF SPIRIT. LET THE CENTRAL FOCUS OF OUR LIVES BE LOVE!

The joy of my life is helping others work through the challenges of their path. If I can be of service to you by answering troubling questions or revealing some avenues of discovery, please call or write for your personal ,completely confidential, counseling session.

Do not let anything stand in the way of your spiritual progress. If you have built personal walls of limitation take them down! Push them away. Blow them up. See them crumble.

You have all the talent, the creativity and the energy you need to turn any of your personally manifested limitations into teaching tools pointing the way to the higher more evolved you. The energies emanating from your heart and soul long for your personal success but they stand back waiting to help you, wanting you to ask.

Ask for love’s wisdom from the depths of your heart. Ask your soul for your next step. Let them know you are eager to listen. Call to your angels. Ask for your personal guides and teachers to help.

When you have asked then it is up to you to be aware of the sign posts that appear in your everyday life. These happenings are your answers. If you visit the library or the bookstore, know that you can call for that particular book or journal to attract you. When your energy is high and calling, that special book can literally fall off the shelf into your hands.

Sharpen your awareness of your surroundings. Just a word or a sentence that you overhear at the lunch counter maybe the answer you have prayed for. Listen to your hunches, your intuition. Spirit whispers, she doesn’t shout.

One of the most valuable ways to clear and clean your own path is to fully invest yourself in a daily practice of gratitude. Don’t spend a minute telling yourself what you don’t have. Instead be gentle with yourself. Tell yourself how blessed you are. Tell yourself what you do have. Tell yourself what you intend for your life. Thank yourself for your inner awareness.

THANK YOURSELF FOR RECOGNIZING AND USING YOUR OWN GOD GIVEN ABILITIES.

Be thankful for every dear and generous friend. Be particularly grateful for every prickly acquaintance or stranger that grates on your nerves. They are all valuable! Be grateful that both kinds of people cause you to look at your own attitudes and ideas.

Learn from every situation you encounter. Bless the times you missed the mark as well as the times you were on target. If you are willing to express your gratitude for the lessons learned, I cannot promise you that the lessons will get easier. I can promise you however that you will experience greater and more far reaching success in all your efforts.

It is said we learn from our mistakes. I take issue with that. I firmly believe we learn from our successes. We learn from the times we got it right and gave ourselves the proverbial gold star.

When your energy falls, when you need confidence, self assurance in your abilities, it is the winning times you need to remember and amplify. Each of you can succeed. You have the creativity and the talent to fulfill your life’s path. With the help of your indwelling “I AM” you can go far beyond your limited human ideas of success.
No one moves through this earth experience alone. Today see everything, every situation, every person with new eyes. Begin to earnestly strive for non-judgment and compassion for others and for yourself. Understand that all life is working to evolve to rise higher. The paths to that evolution may differ but the goal is the same.

I received a wonderful thank-you gift in my e-mail the other day. It was from a long time client of mine. He sent me an entry in his journal detailing his long awaited success with direct channeling of Spirit. I was so excited for him. I thanked him for thinking of me. I thanked him for being so persistent in his efforts.

He was personally so grateful to make one more step forward. I feel that his success, combined with his loving attitude will lift the energies of everyone he touches.

Do give yourself the love that you wish from others. If you see yourself being harshly critical of your own efforts, stop. As you become more loving and gentle with yourself and simply make corrections to your so-called mistakes, you will experience more love and generosity in your life from others. You will be a magnet for happier more loving experiences.

Know that your thankfulness for your life, your feelings of love and appreciation create a ripple effect wherever you go whomever you touch. Knowing that, begin to thank those people who bless you and your family. In your times of stillness thank yourself for speaking the words of Soul and Spirit in all your relationships.

I am Reverend Lois Cheney your Sarasota Florida Psychic. I find much happiness in helping others work through their personal challenges. I will bring you answers to any of your life questions by directly contacting your guides, angels and teachers. In light trance I am able to bring communications from your departed loved ones.

I will read for you in my Florida studio or over the telephone if it is more convenient for you. In either instance I will provide you with a complete cassette recording of your personal session for your later review.

The same old Spirit? Yes and no. The same Spirit but seemingly completely new when viewed through the eyes of over 100 windows of sparkling Light.

Those windows of Light I am referencing were the fantastic souls in attendance at the 24th Dowsing and Healing Conference held for five days at the end of April in Fayetteville Arkansas. It has taken me two weeks to really digest all of the inspiration I received there.

It never fails to amaze me that after 30 some years of teaching, lecturing and counseling I always find a new thought and a new way. Even one of my “usual workshops” takes on a new energy and direction as I lecture to different groups.

What surprised me the most at the convention was to find an extraordinary number of my personal soul group among the attendees. It makes me wonder: How far ahead of time did we collaborate in the silence to make this meeting happen?

I am extraordinarily grateful to the Ozark Research Institute founders, Gladys and Harold McCoy, and their many helpers for the year long effort it requires to sponsor the convention.

On the surface each presenter at the convention came from a completely different point of view. The truth is they were all simply pointing their own unique way of accessing the Light of Spirit and soul path for which we continually yearn.

Individual channeling of Spirit energy was the thrust of every presentation. Regardless of whether the class concerned the “72 Names of God”, “Spoon Bending”, “Treasure Mapping”, “Dreams”, “Energetic Healing” or “Life Path”, the focus remained on accessing and using Spirit-Soul guidance and energy.

I am grateful for every client who sought my private counseling while I was in Fayetteville. I feel blessed to be allowed to help each of them. Every reading I offer amplifies my own abilities to uplift and enlighten others.

It is always amazing to me how many roads there are to the same destination— creation of the soul’s learning and progress! I think at this particular time in earth’s evolution we are all feeling a greater pressure to actuate our lives to the fullest. Our overriding desire is to fully encompass our Spirit in this human body. We want to know with certainty that we are doing the work we came here to do.

Every “clue” that we can gather to point us in the direction of our greatest life fulfillment is valuable. We are each endowed with an abundance of personal talent and creativity. It is up to each of us to bring our uniqueness forward in a way that will bless not only ourselves and the people we touch but our living earth as well.

Where does your personal road lead? Are you here to work with the plant or animal kingdom? Did you come to teach other Light Bearers through your personal gifts and understanding? Is offering peace and non-judgment your path? What is your unique way to bring the Light of Spirit, the I Am Presence to the earth and her people at this time?

I am here in my Florida studio to help you with any of your life challenges. I offer you a confidential reading appointment in my Florida counseling room or by telephone. In either case, I will give you a tape recording of your session for your later review in the privacy of your home.

It is my joy to help by channeling the guidance of your personal guides and masters. The messages of recurring dreams can be deciphered for you. In addition, I am able to bring you information from your loved ones in spirit if you desire.

April is almost here and it is Convention time! The 24th Annual Dowsing and Healing Energies Convention in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is April 24th through the 28th. The convention is sponsored by the Ozark Research Institute where I have been a member for some years.

I am so excited about the convention in Fayetteville for a number of reasons. I am looking forward to seeing many of my old friends as well as making interesting new ones. In fact people attend the convention from a number of countries around the world as well as from the United States. They come from a myriad of backgrounds and practices bringing enormous enthusiasm with them.

It is the diversity of offerings at the convention that make it so stimulating. The wide range of practices and systems that are offered are mind expanding!

Oh, the choices! Here are just a few: Bach Flower Remedies, Dream Interpretation, Heal Your Life, Numerology and Kabbalah, Bend Spoons and See Auras, Using Vision Boards, Palmistry, and, of course my own: Using the Road Less Traveled is NOT Taking a Detour!

Guaranteed: there are no two presenters or no two presentations alike. Attending is always a learning experience.

I am happily anticipating my own time lecturing on Saturday, April, 25th, and Monday, the 27th. I will be offering ways to involve more deeply in your own life path by developing your personal extra sensory perception. I feel a strong desire to get more people interested in their own intuitive development. If I can spark anyone’s interest in accessing and developing their natural abilities, I see that it adds so much to the quality and ease of life.

Through my counseling practice I have seen that one of the major challenges in our lives today is communication. We seem to have problems in our relationships simply because we continue to misunderstand the other person’s thoughts and point of view. Because we can’t totally know their past experiences or why they interpret our words the way they do, we find ourselves at odds.

It is in these interactions with others that our personal intuition can be a great tool. If we are able to understand another person’s feelings at a greater depth, if we are able to connect with them on a deeper level, so much misunderstanding can be circumvented.

If you cannot join me at the convention, let me offer you a private appointment time for your personal psychic consultation. I can help you in person at my study in Florida or over the telephone. I always provide a cassette recording of our work together for your later review. I also offer a series of four individually designed one-on-one intuitive development lesson at my studio.

I would love to help you. Call me today, Reverend Lois Cheney (941) 961-2783 or E-Mail: RevLois@gmail.com.

In my earlier years, when I was so active in the Unity Church, there was one song that always played in my heart: “Spirit of the living God come alive in me. Spirit of the living God come alive in me now. Melt me, mold me, fill me use me.” That song resonated so deeply within me that it carried me through more than one rough patch.

Those words could have been, just as rightly, “SPIRIT OF LIGHT come alive in me”, “SPIRIT OF LOVE come alive in me”, or even “ALMIGHTY COSMIC I AM come alive in me now”. All of those names for the wonderful supportive energy that gives us life ring true. Any action taken by one of us in the essence of Love, Light or I Am that I Am is surely a blessing to all those touched.

Now is the most exciting of times to be alive on this earth. Whatever your religion, your occupation, your endeavors, you have the opportunity to shine so brightly as to enhance the world and all those people and creatures who occupy it.

You and I are Love’s creation. You and I can truly be Emissaries of the Light. That is our design. Together we are a mighty force for the highest good if we choose to be so.

As a counselor I have had more than one person come to me talking about “the end times”. Some of my clients come filled with fear because of what others have said to them regarding the disastrous events foretold in the coming year 2012.

Yes, the three years between now and that year will be filled with many changes. We have already seen the tumult in the economy and other social structures. MY BELIEF IS THAT THIS IS NOT A TIME OF DISASTER BUT RATHER A TIME OF MIRACULOUS OPPORTUNITIES.

I see the discomfort caused by these changes as leading to multiple opportunities for creating a greatly enhanced life for us and our earth. Yes, these changes can feel uncomfortable but sometimes it takes discomfort for humans to decide to take action. Sometimes it takes an imbalance to cause us to actively seek harmony and balance.

You and I together can help Mother Nature to heal. You and I together can help all people to recognize their divinity and to raise their humanness to Spirit-lead heights.

I suggest each of us begin our day accessing our innate abilities to shine the light we are. We can be the peace, the light and the love in whatever situation we find ourselves. Individually and collectively we can be the ones who bring the changes for the highest and best, the most positive directions and possibilities.

This is my best day yet! Why? Because I choose to be flowing, glowing, radiating Light. I choose to shine and be a blessing wherever I go, wherever I find myself. I invite you to choose along with me.

May the blessing that you are radiate and shine on all.

My work is my joy. I love to help through my counseling and teaching. If you would like a confidential appointment for a life path enhancing reading or if you wish to contact a departed loved one, call me today. Bring all your questions. I will access your personal guides and teachers for life affirming answers.

Your private reading is available either in person in my studio or by telephone. It is your voice and your energy combined with that of your guides, that allow me to bring the best information to you.

Call Reverend Lois Cheney: (941)961-2783 or E-mail: RevLois@gmail.com.

How do you relate to your world? Do you give it and its occupants kisses? Happy loving thoughts? Appreciation for each situation and experience? Perhaps you lend your world some constructive criticism or occasionally harsh judgment? Are you sending peace to all those around you or busy being an irritant?

How does your world relate to you? Do you feel that it surrounds you with abundance and joyful support? Or are you sure that something, someone, out there is plotting to get you? Are you full of fear, feeling that everything is about to crash down around your ears?

Either way you can be sure there is an EQUAL GIVE AND TAKE happening between you and your world. You and your world are busy working out a BALANCE according to your words, thoughts, and emotions.

Just to assure you that I am not pointing an accusing finger at anyone; let me tell you a story of my own. It was a short time ago, just about the 12th of this past October when I was in to my second day of driving from the farthest point of Arkansas to my home church in Florida.

I was bored. Driving, driving, and driving the back roads in Tennessee with not a lot of freeway progress. It must have been around 9 in the morning when I couldn’t stand the repetitiveness and the mist on the windshield anymore and decided to stop at fast food Hardee’s. Some of you may be familiar with their sugar and raisin biscuits. Nothing like a little sugar to give me that temporary lift!

When I entered the restaurant I realized the energy of the customers pretty much matched mine and the energy created by the gray weather. It was low! Not many words being spoken there. So I went to the far corner of the place and sat at a tiny little table in silence.

After eating I suddenly realized what I was doing. I said to myself: “Lois, you’re being silly. You like people, what are you doing way over here?” I was about to leave when I got up with my tray but then I stopped right in the center of the restaurant.

Using as smiling and loud a voice as I could muster, I looked around the room and I said “Do you know what’s good about this weather? There’s very little chance of sunburn!” Well that broke the energy. People were laughing. Asking me which direction I was headed. Wishing me a safe journey.

How little effort on my part or yours to bring a little giggle, some joy to one person or a roomful. I intend to do it more often.

As long as I am reminiscing, I might as well tell one more story. One of my favorite stores is The Dollar Tree and why not? There is always some new exciting trinket for a buck. But this particular day I arrived in the store searching for a black marker. As I stood in the pen and paper aisle, I wasn’t paying much attention to what was going on around me.

Then I realized the little lady next to me was having quite a struggle trying to replace a manila envelope on the top most shelf. She was obviously a peppy person, quite full of energy but way too short to do what she was trying to do. I guessed her to be no more than 4’8” tall and perhaps 85 years of age.

I was just getting ready to offer to help her reach that top shelf when she managed to wedge the envelope between some others. I smiled and said “Congratulations, that was quite a reach! I was laughing a little when I added: “I really didn’t think you could make it!”

She immediately smiled back and chuckled. “You know, stretching is what makes you grow!” I didn’t think much about that exchange until about an hour later. A wave of understanding mixed with some warm emotion washed over me. You know, she was right on target!

She wasn’t talking about being short. She didn’t expect to grow another physical inch she was expressing something much more important. STRETCHING IS WHAT MAKES US GROW. Reaching beyond our self imposed limits. Trying for that metaphorical extra inch or foot or mile.

Athletes know that. They have to believe in that second wind. They don’t stop because temporarily they can go no further. They keep on, keeping on. How else would that 4 minute mile have been broken over and over again?

If you ever observed someone trying to control their weight, there comes a time when they seem to hit a plateau. They get so far but become stuck. But if they keep applying the basic principles of weight loss or gain, if they keep the goal in mind, they eventually break through that barrier.

Metaphysicians know to attain that desired level of enlightenment they must keep meditating, reading, searching, practicing their personal awareness until the light breaks through.

What are limits really? LIMITS ARE IMAGINARY BARRIERS we have erected for ourselves or, in some cases, limits we have accepted as truth from others. Our thoughts may tell us we have gone this far but the next step is way too much.

Our closest friends and relatives mean well but may give us the idea that our personal goal is too impossible to attempt. We love these people and so we accept their erroneous ideas.

I believe that all of us can decide to accept the reality that WE ARE TRULY UNLIMITED. There are no chains that bind us unless we want them to. We are free; yes we are free, totally free in the most dynamic way we can imagine. There are no limits to what you and I can do. None at all.

Throw away any limits you may have accepted. Truly, you were born to be an “over-comer”. If you cannot go through that seeming obstacle, go around it. Find your way with confidence. Move ahead.

There is unlimited energy within you and offered to you. The universe is ready to fill your desire. Accept the reality of your own endless ability. Whatever your heart is asking of you, believe you can do it because you can!

Let me offer you a private appointment for your personal counseling session. Any life questions you may have will be answered with the help of your angels and guides. Write out all your questions, all your current challenges.

You and I relate to others in hundreds of different ways. We can have friends, enemies, spouses, family, lovers, bosses, employees.

Relationships come and relationships go but all of our various relationships, whether we label them good or bad, contain important messages from Spirit. ALL RELATIONSHIPS ARE SPIRIT DRIVEN LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES.

Likewise all relationships at their heart, their root, are relationships forged by Spirit. Spirit working through each of us creates unique learning opportunities from relationships.

To truly hear the message from each experience, the caveat is this: we must be willing to listen to, and search for, the deeper truths contained in each long or short encounter. The problem we sometimes find in gaining the truth from any relationship is that we have a tendency to only think of the interaction in terms of what THEY did or THEY did not do.

We need to look at the feelings and thoughts issuing from within us that these joinings brought to our attention. What belief did WE hold that caused a strong reaction, positive or negative, to come forth from deep within ourselves? Why did we act or react the way we did? Could there be something we need to clear from our consciousness?

A one-sided analysis of any situation does not reveal the learning tools that can be gained through exploring that relationship. To extract the very best lessons from any beautiful and peaceful or harsh and demanding give-and-take between individuals, we must be willing to see and understand our own part in the exchange.

The goal of our journey here on earth is an all pervasive, Spirit-revealed education. We are here to learn. To gain the greatest benefit from our lives as humans we need to stop believing that we are “going solo”. Yes, it is true that we appear to be individual in one sense but we are definitely not separate. We are all interconnected and joined in a myriad of ways.

Every act that you and I take has an effect on someone else whether we are aware of it or not. Any thought we think, any word we say, is important because it will create a ripple, a color, a sound, a feeling. As we accept and acknowledge the basic truth of this, our intent and desire become much purer, more consciously directed. We earnestly want to be an instrument of positive change!

It is important to realize that many times when we are in the midst of a relationship we do not have the ability to step back and see what the lesson may be. It can take days, months, or even years to truly gain all that is available in that “coming together” for our enlightenment. That passage of time however long it may be does not have to mean loss of the wisdom offered.

The basic lesson and understanding, the possibility for genuine advancement of our soul, is still available regardless of the amount of time that has lapsed.

Each of us should be concerned enough with our own spiritual development to take the time to extract the fundamental gains from any relationship no matter how brief that particular joining may have been. By looking deeply at the interactions produced by each of us, we can elevate our spiritual “platform”. Our inner vision becomes clearer and more acute.

Caring enough to gaze backward in an analytical way seeking that enlightenment, will help each of us to move forward with greater ease and accomplishment.

Appreciate the helpful, gracious people in your life. But particularly be grateful for every harsh and upsetting situation you have encountered. Through gratitude for all your life’s experiences you will attain measureable growth of soul. Those unpleasant times and the accompanying emotional hurts can point you toward the greatest understanding of your life path!

I wish for each of you the blessing of deeper experiences, great caring and much learning.

If I can be of service to you through a private counseling appointment, please call Reverend Lois, (479) 657-6491.

There is no question that Fear can be the most daunting of enemies. Fear can control your every move. It can completely immobilize any desired forward motion.

Fear can step in and effectively send you back into memories of past failures. It can lead you to expect only the worst. Those fears then become a self fulfilling prophecy.

When we allow ourselves to be in the grip of fear based thoughts, we hesitate to make any decision large or small. Our Spirit struggles to reach us but we do not hear.

Somehow standing in an aura of fear, we forget that this universe of ours is a loving and forgiving place if we will only allow it to be so. We forget that it is only our thinking that can fill us with sorrow, apprehension, or regret and not love.

Consider the marvelous ally we have when we call upon the Archangel Michael. He comes to us with his glowing sword to cut through all our fear and replace that fear with pure love. Call on him. He will come.

Fear arrives in so many insidious forms. Fear of loss as in the fear of losing a loved one, a job, investments, money etc. Fear of failure: I need a better education, I do not understand all of this, my attention span is way too short, I should not even start! And of course that fear of disease when every little pain could be the Big One.

The one real component in all of these fearful thoughts is an overwhelming dread of any change large or small. We can label any change good or bad but the one thing it definitely is, is inevitable! Remember that with change of any kind comes an enormous potential for personal growth.

When we are willing to embrace change as a fact of life and approach it with positive expectations instead of apprehension, we are rewarded. The truth is that this life is a learning platform. We are here to experience all of the beautiful and not so beautiful. It is through our experiences that we learn!

The great poet laureate of Unity, Emmet Fox, wrote “There is no difficulty that enough love will not conquer; no disease that enough love will not heal; no door that enough love will not open…If only you could love enough, you could be the happiest and most powerful being in the world.”

Let us begin to love our current situation. Let us begin to love ourselves with all of our flaws as well as our talents. When we love who and what we are, we allow others to love us as well.

When we can love all that is whole heartedly, we will have invited our spirit to join totally with our physical body. We will have the ability to hear the whisperings of our inner most soul and highest guardians.

May I extend my unconditional love to those of you who read this today? I know that you are powerful souls with earth and heaven changing abilities. I bless each of you and give thanks for you.

Call me if I can help you with an in depth psychic counseling session. I am pleased to offer you a reading in my studio in Bella Vista, Arkansas or over the telephone. I will also be available to you for a few of the winter months in Florida.
